When a critical motor fails, the ripple effect can disrupt production and cost your team time and money. That’s why predictive maintenance is no longer optional; it’s essential! Independent Electric is proud to offer PdMAEYE, a 24/7 monitoring solution that elevates motor reliability in real time.
What is PdMAEYE?
PdMAEYE is a permanently installed, 24/7 electric motor monitoring system that uses Signal Conditioning Modules (SCMs) to continuously capture data, while the motor continuously runs.
Powered by the MCEGold software, PdMAEYE instantly alerts your team when motor health data falls outside IEEE/NEMA acceptance criteria using color-coded alarms. You can then access detailed fault-zone diagnostics and plan repairs before they become crises. If you’re working with us for your motor repair and maintenance programs, we will monitor this data on your behalf and contact you when concerning trends appear, and then we will make a plan together to address the issue.
What fault zones does PdMAEYE monitor?
PdMAEYE supports comprehensive Six Fault Zone analysis, giving you insight across all key diagnostic areas:
Power Quality: Detect harmonics or voltage issues that drive heat and stress
Power Circuit: Spot imbalances or resistance faults that can reduce lifetime
Stator: Identify winding faults that cause unbalanced currents or overheating
Rotor: Detect cracked or broken rotor bars before catastrophic failure
Air Gap (Eccentricity): Monitor mechanical misalignment that may cause overheating
In‑Rush / Start‑Up Testing: Capture high-stress events automatically with every start-up
Why Choose PdMAEYE?
Optimize resource allocation by removing the need for frequent, manual motor testing, especially for remote or spread‑out assets. Continuous monitoring lets your team prioritize truly critical alerts and act proactively.
PdMAEYE also offers data visibility and accessibility everywhere through PdMA Cloud Services and API integration, adding flexibility and transparency across your asset management tools.
When Does PdMAEYE Make Sense?
Ideal for:
Critical motors where downtime can be costly
Assets in remote, hard-to-reach locations (like remote pumping stations or plants in rural locations)
Operations with staffing limitations or technicians covering multiple sites
Companies aiming to scale predictive maintenance beyond periodic manual tests
